The Assembly Rooms Café is adjoined to the Great Octagon and provides an elegant backdrop to enjoy morning coffee or a light lunch before or after a visit to the museum. The café is also open to the general public and local residents. (Entry to the Assembly Rooms and café is free of charge).
Visitors can also enjoy the peaceful garden attached to the Café which provides a great sun trap on warmer days.
The café itself is self-service offering a range of refreshments from handmade cakes and giant cookies to freshly made sandwiches and salads. A selection of tea is available as well as fruit juice, wine, award-winning ales, excellent cider and organic lager.
Open from 10.30am – 4.30pm. Please note that the café is not open when private events are in operation.
